Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has selected his assistants from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) ahead of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
Eguavoen appointed Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede to assist him in the dugout.
Ilechukwu recently led Enugu Rangers to win the NPFL championship, while Ogunmodede, 44, has guided Remo Stars to continental football qualification over the last two seasons.
These appointments follow the breakdown of negotiations between the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and German manager Bruno Labbadia due to tax-related issues.
As a result, the NFF turned to the experienced Eguavoen to lead the Super Eagles on an interim basis for the upcoming international matches.
