Afrobeats sensation Asake has been nominated for an award at the prestigious 2024 British Society of Cinematographers Awards. This notable achievement marks Asake’s first-ever nomination at the awards.
Asake’s nomination is shared with his cinematographer, Henry Gill, for their outstanding work in the Best Cinematography in a Music Video category.
The British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) is a revered institution, established in 1949, and celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2024.
The organization boasts an impressive membership roster, featuring 27 Oscar winners and numerous Emmy and BAFTA winners.
The BSC Awards are highly esteemed, with the Cinematography in a Feature Film award being the second-oldest honour of its kind, surpassed only by the Academy Award.
The winners of the 2024 BSC Awards will be announced at a live ceremony on Saturday, February 1, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
