Arsenal Football Club has unveiled their new away kit for the 2024-25 season, which celebrates the African heritage of many of their fans.
The kit was designed in collaboration with Labrum London, a British African culture-focused apparel brand.
The jersey features a black base with vibrant red, green, and white details, including a zig-zag graphic on the arms and shorts.
This graphic represents cowrie shells, which were used as currency in Asia and Africa and feature in traditional pan-African art.
The kit is a tribute to Arsenal’s African players, including Emmanuel Adebayor, Nwankwo Kanu, and Kolo Touré, who are celebrated in the launch video.
Current players Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber, and Leah Williamson also feature in the video.
The kit is a bold statement of African pride and culture, and is sure to be a hit with fans.
The accompanying apparel range includes two jackets, a sweater, t-shirt, and track pants, all featuring the same vibrant colors and graphics as the jersey.
