Nigeria’s Super Eagles have fallen in the most recent FIFA men’s rankings, as announced by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
The three-time African champions slipped from 38th to 39th globally, marking a decline from their previous ranking of 30th last month.
Despite this decrease in global standings, the Super Eagles maintained their fifth position in Africa.
Morocco’s Atlas Lions continue to lead the African rankings, followed by Senegal, Egypt, and Cote d’Ivoire.
At the top of the global rankings, Argentina remains in first place after securing their Copa America title. France holds second place, with Spain in third following their European championship win.
England, who reached the Euro 2024 final, moved up to fourth, while Brazil dropped to fifth.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking will be published on September 19, 2024.
