FC Barcelona aiming to replace Ousmane Dembele with German winger

Report: Serge Gnabry worried about position, salary at Bayern Munich - Bavarian Football Works

After missing the most of the first half of the 2012/13 season due to injury, Ousmane Dembele has rediscovered his best form under Xavi. He has one goal and 13 assists in 20 appearances in La Liga, putting him at the top of the assist standings.

Dropping Dembele is unthinkable in his current form. However, losing him to another team, especially on a free transfer, will be extremely difficult. With his contract set to expire in a month, all signs point to him making a definitive choice this week.

While finding a successor will be tough, Barça has begun to consider life without Dembele.

According to Catalunya Radio, the club is mulling a deal for Serge Gnabry of Bayern Munich.

Gnabry’s contract with Bayern expires in 2023, and the chances of an extension are dwindling. Arsenal and other Premier League teams are on the watch, but Barcelona’s interest might stir things up even more.
