Arsenal has signed Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna on a long-term contract, bolstering their defense with a talented young player.
The 22-year-old excelled at Bologna, helping the team finish in fifth-place finish in Serie A and qualify for the Champions League.
Calafiori made 30 Serie A appearances and earned his international debut in June, playing in three European Championship matches.
Manager Mikel Arteta praised Calafiori’s skills, saying, “He is a great signing and gives us huge strength to reinforce our defence.
