The leadership of the South-South Zone of the All Progressives Congress says no member of its zonal executive was suspended.
There have been reports of in-fighting in the zonal chapter of the ruling party and this statement from the zone appears to confirm that.
There have been reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) suspended its South-South executives.
The party reportedly removed Chief Victor Giadom and Chief Ita Udosen from their positions as Vice Chairman and Secretary of the zone.
However, the leadership of the South-South Zone of the APC has denied that the Zonal Executives met to suspend any executive members.
The executives describe it as a “well-choreographed misinformation on social media and surprisingly mainstream media”.

Therefore, Mr Morka says they should be disregarded, as they do not represent the party.
Morka says Giadom and Udosen are still the Vice Chairman and Secretary of the party in the zone.
Furthermore, the party warns the persons behind the statement issued in the name of the South-South Zonal Executive Committee to be ready to face disciplinary actions.
