American actress Angelina Jolie, has accused her former husband Brad Pitt of being physically abusive towards her.
This comes after their separation in 2016, when Pitt was accused of being drunk and aggressive on a plane during a family trip from France to California.
In a court document related to a legal battle over a French winery they co-owned, Jolie’s lawyers stated that Pitt was abusive to her even before the plane incident.
They mentioned that Jolie tried to sell her stake in the Miraval wine business to Pitt, but negotiations fell apart over a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
According to the legal filing in Los Angeles Superior Court, Pitt wanted Angelina Jolie to sign an NDA that would prevent her from speaking about Pitt’s abuse of her and their children, except in court.
The lawyers claimed that Pitt’s “history of physical abuse of Jolie started well before the family’s September 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles,” but did not provide more details about other incidents.
