Why Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) Could Kill A Lady

In a world where social media and peer pressure are the order of the day, there is the urge to show off and impress others with the latest accessories, cars, mobile phones, houses, fashion items, and even banging bodies.

Sadly, this quest to fit in and be accepted has cost many their lives.

Now, young ladies are going under the knife to have different surgical operations like the Brazilian Butt Lift.

All they come with is a desire to have the hourglass body shape they believe make them more appealing to men and an envy to their fellow women.

What they do not come with is a full information about the procedure and the negative things that could happen.

BBL is a specialised fat transfer procedure in which excess fat is removed from the hips, abdomen, lower back, or thighs with liposuction, and a portion of this fat is then strategically injected into the buttocks.

The procedure augments the size and shape of the buttocks without implants.

Unfortunately, this desire for an amazing buttocks could result in death. Unfortunately not many have a second to think about this consequence before humping on BBL.

The major risk of this procedure is a fat embolism.

In a fat embolism, an embolus is a foreign object in the bloodstream.

This simply means there is fat in the bloodstream, which travels through the blood vessels and gets stuck, which creates a blockage.

Some of the very small chunks of transferred fat find their way into the blood vessels.

They are then transferred to the right side of the heart, where they are pumped to the lungs.

Dangers Of The Brazilian Butt Lift

In the lungs, it impedes efficient gaseous exchange and distorts the normal process through which your lungs give your blood needed oxygen and wash off carbon dioxide (IV oxide).

Such a person may experience difficulty breathing, chest pain, dizziness, fast breathing, weakness, and more.

Without intervention, it eventually damages the lungs and leads to death in 10% of cases.

Only 1% of women who have BBL will develop a fat embolism, but in the hands of an inexperienced surgeon, this percentage can rapidly increase.

What To Expect After Having BBL

The Brazilian Butt Lift procedure itself is pretty straightforward, but, as many patients have said, the recovery is the hardest part.

While some may feel it more than others and medication is provided, you should expect to experience pain, soreness, and swelling for about two to six weeks after the procedure.

According to medical reports, during the first two weeks, patients are not allowed to sit down, lie on their backs, or in any way rest their glutes on hard surfaces.

That means they either have to sleep on their stomach or side and remain standing for all daily activities except going to the bathroom.

The patient undergoes a certain number of massages, wears appropriate clothing, and follows directions given by her surgeon.

Upon approval by the surgeon, the BBL patient can start to sit using a special round-shaped seat or place pillows strategically around the thighs to lessen the pressure on the BBL.

Only after eight to ten weeks will she or he be allowed to sit normally.

When it comes to medical matters, the level to which people bear pain differs.

For some, it comes with less pain, while for others, it is an excruciating process that could end in disaster.

Before going through the Brazilian Butt Lift procedure, it is advised to weigh your options and, if you must go through it, get an experienced specialist involved.

Do not start a thing without, first, counting the cost.
