The former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has earned himself an invitation by the Nigeria Police Force following a recent coup allegation.

The Director of Media and Publicity of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign, Bayo Onanuga, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday night.
The Coup
Fani-Kayode in a publication had accused the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, of meeting with top military personnel ahead of the forthcoming polls.
According to the APC, PCC Director of Special Duties alleged the meeting was targeted at disrupting the general polls.
Fani-Kayode Vs DSS
In a swift reaction, the Acting Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, countered the allegations from the former Aviation Minister, denying that the military was never involved in such a meeting.
Shortly after the military’s denial, Fani-Kayode was officially invited by the Department of State Services (DSS) for questioning, but was released on bail after six-hours of interrogation.

Fani was asked to return on Wednesday (today) for further interrogation by DSS investigators.
But according to Onanuga, the Federal Investigation Bureau (FIB) of the Police Force sent an invitation to Fani-Kayode on Tuesday night to appear at its headquarters for questioning on Wednesday.
