Death is a destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it.
On February 7, 2023, the Battle on Buka Street producer, Funke Akindele, lost her mother to death.
Her death was announced on Tuesday evening by Funke’s sister, Olubunmi Akindele, on her Instagram page.
The statement read: “It is with heavy hearts, but in total submission to God Almighty, that the ADEBANJO and AKINDELE families announce the passing of their daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister, DR. R B Adebanjo-Akindele, which occurred on Tuesday, February 7, 2023”.
The cause of death has not been disclosed, and Funke Akindele has not spoken publicly about her loss.
About four years ago, the actress turned politician lost her father, who was a retired school principal, to a brief illness.
The movie and political communities have come together to support Funke Akindele, who is grieving the loss of her mother.
Dr. R. B. Adebanjo-Akindele will be remembered as a kind and loving person, and may she rest in peace.
