After serving as British Prime Minister for just 45 days, the outgoing British Prime Minister Liz Truss in her farewell speech said leaders need to be bold, she defended her legacy of trying to push through tax cuts.
Liz Truss officially becomes the shortest-serving Prime Minister in UK history.
The incoming British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is however in a meeting with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, where he will be advised to form a new government that will move Britain from the precipice of recession where it currently stands into a robust economy
Sunak will be expected to make a statement before noon after his meeting with King Charles at Number 10 Downing Street. He becomes UK’s third leader in just seven weeks.
