An auto crash occurred in the early hours of Monday between a stationary bus and truck along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, leaving one dead and 12 other people injured.
Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun command, confirmed the crash involving a bus and a truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway at Nipco filling station, Mowe.

Commander Ahmed Umar of FRSC stated that the crash occurred around 5:35 a.m. He said the accident was caused by a speeding truck driver who lost control and collided with a stationary bus. The two vehicles had no registration numbers, according to the FRSC sector commander.
“The truck driver rammed into the stationary bus and killed the driver of the bus who was under the bus trying to rectify some faults discovered from the vehicle. The bus was going outward Lagos to the eastern part of the country before it developed (a) fault,” he said.

The FRSC commander also mentioned that the injured victims were taken to Famobis Hospital in Mowe, and the deceased has also been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
