Kwara seeks EFCC’s help with recovery of looted funds

Kwara State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Salman Jawondo, yesterday, sought the help of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to help the state recover looted funds.

Jewando led a delegation of the Ministry of Justice on a visit to the Ilorin office of the commission.

He said, “We know that the EFCC is a very delicate institution.  It needs the support of every agency to survive. The Ministry of Justice is on ground to give you maximum support. We have seen the number of convictions and recoveries made in this office. We are here to identify with you.”

The EFCC expressed readiness to assist the state, and thanked the Commissioner for paying the courtesy visit.
