Nigerian rapper Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, has called on the Lagos State Police Command to reopen investigations into the death of his former signee, Mohbad.
Speaking in a video broadcast on his YouTube channel, Naira Marley maintained his innocence
Also, he insisted that both he, his associate Samson Balogun (Samlarry), and others accused should be re-arrested to ensure a transparent probe.

The Marlian Music boss stressed the need for a trustworthy officer to handle the case.
He alleged that his previous detention at Panti was influenced by a conspiracy.
“I came back to Nigeria to support the police because fingers were pointing at us. I was detained for two months in Panti, but I had nothing to do with his death. If you ask me, I will tell the police to arrest everybody again and let a credible officer take charge,” he said.
Naira Marley also disclosed that he had reached an agreement with Mohbad’s lawyer
Also this is to release the singer’s royalties to his family once the court decides who manages his estate.
Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died on 12 September 2023 under controversial circumstances.
While the Lagos Coroner’s Court ruled that his death was not linked to foul play but rather medical negligence from an auxiliary nurse, the case continues to spark public debate.
The court has since directed the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to prosecute the nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe.
Also, the nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe administered the injection allegedly tied to the singer’s passing.
