Naira Marley’s Explanation

He explained that despite past issues including MohBad’s clash with the NDLEA, an attempted suicide, legal disputes with his distributor, and his eventual exit from Marlian Music MohBad was still considering reconciling with him before his passing.

Marley said he was outside Nigeria when MohBad died on September 12, 2023, first in Amsterdam and later in Montenegro with Zinoleesky for a planned video shoot.

He claimed to have passport stamps, videos, and witnesses to verify his absence.

Naira Marley reacted to viral clips, including the video of Sam Larry confronting MohBad on set. He said he first saw the footage online and clarified that it was not recorded on the day MohBad died.

He added that Zlatan privately confirmed that no violence occurred at that shoot.

The singer alleged that some blogs were paid to circulate old clips to alter the narrative around MohBad’s death, stressing that he was unfairly blamed and denied the chance to mourn.

Marley also referenced a leaked voice note where MohBad expressed paranoia and fear after previous incidents.

He cited MohBad’s partner, who admitted the late singer battled depression and once received psychiatric treatment, adding that he became “a shadow of himself” after the NDLEA raid.

Dismissing reports of bullying, Naira Marley denied ever sending anyone to harass MohBad.

He also rejected claims linked to a viral Snapchat video of him dancing after MohBad’s death, insisting it was an old clip used to frame him.
