Delta Poly students protest ban on vehicles, commercial motorcycles

ACADEMIC activities were today, grounded at the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, as students of the institution embarked on a protest against the ban on students’ private vehicles and commercial motorcycles from entry into the polytechnic’s premises by the management of the institution.
But the management of the institution, in it’s reaction said “We are not aware of any tertiary institution in the state or the country where commercial motorcycles are allowed to operate freely or where internet fraudsters know as “Yahoo Boys” are allowed to flood the campus with exotic cars. ”
The protesters who barricaded the main gate of the institution and Ozoro axis of the Ughelli-Asaba expressway, caused traffic gridlock along the busy road for several hours.
