Chippa United Football Club has announced the contract extension of goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, securing his services for an additional three years.
The club confirmed the development on Thursday, August 29 2024, emphasizing Nwabali’s critical role in their future plans.
Rivers-born Stanley Nwabali, with Chippa United since 2022, is now the club’s new captain.
The club announced, “We’re pleased that Stanley Nwabali has signed a new three-year contract with Chippa United FC.”
“Stanley’s dedication and commitment to the club have been exemplary. We believe he is the right person to guide our team through the challenges ahead.”
Nwabali joined Chippa United from Nigeria’s Katsina United and quickly became a key player.
His standout performances for Chippa United earned him a spot in Nigeria’s national team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, boosting his reputation.
As Chippa United’s new captain, Nwabali is expected to play a pivotal role in leading the team in the upcoming season.
