Bye-election: Electioneering Process In Surulere 1 Peaceful – Laguda

It is not abnormal to have a peaceful electioneering process but the do or die mentality of politicians is the reason elections become violent.

The All Progressive Congress candidate in the ongoing Surulere 1 federal constituency bye-election has described the process as peaceful thus far.

Fuad Kayode Laguda, just like eleven other candidates from the different accredited parties are hustling for the vacant Surulere 1 federal constituency seat.

Laguda after voting at Ward 7, unit 9, Randle avenue primary school, Shitta in Surulere, said the process has been very peaceful.

The All Progressive Congress candidate got to his polling unit was accredited without any issues and subsequently went on to vote.

Reacting to the issue of voter apathy that is been witnessed in the election, Laguda said, “APC as a party went round to create awareness about the election”

According to him, “Awareness and enlightenment is we all can do, we can’t go to their houses to bring the voters out”

As touching his expectations from the election, he said “I hope to get congratulated at the end of the day”

At the time of this report, not many voters have shown up at the different accredited polling unit to participate in the election.
