48 dead, 321 injured in Ogun road crashes

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has said 48 persons died in various road crashes across Ogun State, between December 15, 2019 and January 19, 2020.

The Superintendent Route Commander, Florence Okpe in a statement, on Wednesday, said 321 persons sustained injuries in the 102 road crashes that occurred during the time.

According to Okpe, 54% of the road crashes occurred around construction zones at Ogere, Mowe and Ijebu-Ode.

Meanwhile, the Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, Clement Oladele, has advised drivers to drive cautiously around construction sites to save lives.
