Popular media personality and content creator Kolu has appealed to fellow comedian and skit maker Carter Efe for ₦7 million to help secure the release of controversial singer Portable from prison.
The appeal was made on Thursday during a livestream session between both content creators on Twitch.

When Carter Efe questioned why Kolu was deeply invested in Portable’s situation, Kolu revealed that the singer played a major role in his rise to fame.
According to Kolu, Portable was instrumental in bringing him to Lagos and introducing him to opportunities that helped shape his career.
Also, speaking in Pidgin English, Kolu said, “Portable bring me come Lagos, I come blow. Na him help my life.”
Portable was reportedly remanded in prison on Tuesday by the Federal High Court sitting in Ota, Ogun State.
This follows allegations of car theft and assault levelled against him by his baby mama, Ashabi Simple.
The singer was also said to have been handcuffed and assaulted while in police custody.
