OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says the company will soon relax many of ChatGPT’s restrictions, making the chatbot feel more human and expressive.

Altman explained that the limits were originally set to protect users’ mental health, but new safety tools now allow the company to ease those rules.
In the coming weeks, users will be able to choose how ChatGPT behaves from friendly and emoji-filled to more formal.
He also revealed that, starting in December, verified adults will gain access to mature or erotic content as part of OpenAI’s “treat adult users like adults” policy.
The move marks a shift toward giving users more control while still keeping safety in check.
