Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano state and the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for the 2023 election, claims that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the main opposition party, and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are no longer capable of providing for the needs of the general populace.
The former defense minister asked Nigerians to vote against the presidential candidates of the two major parties in 2023 on the grounds that each party has historically failed the country miserably.
The former governor stated that the parties had performed abjectly in providing the people with the benefits of democracy, and that this is reflected in the amount of instability, unemployment, economic hardship, and misery that are pervasive throughout the nation.
Speaking was Kwankwaso.
He criticized the APC-led national and state administrations for leaving the populace to suffocate on the streets.
He urged the populace to put their faith in the NNPP to reform the nation and set it on the correct course for advancement, noting that the party has seen a rise in membership in the months since he joined the platform.
In addition, he added, “the way we are going now is one way to disaster in the country.” He claimed that the rising instances of insecurity across the nation and the painful economic policies, which he claimed had led to poverty, unemployment, and inflation, were sufficient reasons for the people to reject the ruling party.
