Wizkid Pays Tribute, Plays Davido’s ‘Dami Duro’ In New York

Nigerian sensational singer, Ayodeji Balogun, known popularly by his stage name, Wizkid, on Wednesday, paid tribute to David Adeleke (Davido) following his son’s death.

During a show held in New York, US, Wizkid performed alongside DJ Tunez who played Davido’s hit song ‘Dami Duro’, while Wizkid encouraged the attending crowd to sing along.

Both artistes have been rumored to be at loggerheads with each other as they have dominated the Nigerian and African music space for over a decade.

The video was shared by Photo Journalist and Youtuber, Lukman Sulaiman (@PoojaMedia) on Twitter, on Thursday.

Davido’s three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, drowned at their home in Lagos, a few days after his birthday.

Ifeanyi was Davido’s only son and only child with Chioma Rowland, who he had revealed plans to marry.

The parents are yet to release an official statement but friends and families have been pouring condolences and pushing back activities and events in respect of the child.
