President Bola Tinubu has taken out time to celebrate Nigerian women on the occasion of the 2024 International Women’s Day.
Tinubu spoke via a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
In that statement, the president described Nigerian women as the nation’s pivot.
He acknowledged the role of women in nation-building, emphasizing that Nigerian women are elemental to the development, growth, and greatness of the nation.

The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is ‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress’.
To Tinubu this theme fits well within his administration’s policy initiatives on educating and empowering women.
The Girl Child
Not only through inclusion in governance but also by ensuring that they remain relevant and unimpeachable voices in the development process across all sectors of the economy.
The President stated that his administration is focused on investing in educating the girl child while fostering inclusive programmes and initiatives.
This will bolster their active roles in knowledge, science, technology, research, and innovation in the future.
