#TinubuMustGo: Man Ends Up In Psychiatric Hospital After Calling For Tinubu’s Resignation From Electricity Pole

Mohammed had, last week Friday, climbed the pole and insisted that Tinubu must resign before he would come down.

“What kind of behavior is this?”, many people wondered.

To others, especially the police, “this boy, this Mohammed, must be high on cheap drugs”.

Mental Examination

He was however subsequently rescued on Saturday night and taken into Police custody in the state capital, Yola.

As we speak, he has been committed to the Psychiatric Hospital for mental examination.

This development was disclosed on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Adamawa State Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje.

The PRO said the next step would be determined by the outcome of the medical evaluation.

He revealed that some hard drugs were found on the man, and he was behaving abnormally.

The Confession

Nguroje explained: “When the police from the Moyo-Belwa division rescued Abdullahi Mohammed, from the 33kv high tension electricity pole, some hard drugs were discovered on him including green leaves which he confessed to be Indian hemp.
“The suspect further confessed during his interaction with the police that he takes Indian hemp and other hard drugs.
He was behaving abnormal, so we had to take him to the psychiatric hospital for a detailed medical examination.
We are still waiting for the medical result before we can take the next action.”

Nguruje further explained that it is the constitutional duty of the police to protect lives and property.

He echoed that when any individual wants to take his life, such would be made to face the full wrath of the law as attempting to commit suicide is a criminal offence under Nigeria’s Constitution, so the suspect would be charged to court.
