Bola Tinubu, All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, has named Senator Kashin Shettima as his running mate for the general elections in 2023
He made the announcement on Sunday in Daura, the hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari in Katsina State.
At the conclusion of an hour-long private meeting with Buhari at the President’s residence, Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, told media about the selection.
The APC Candidate claimed that Shettima was chosen because he is “competent, capable, reliable and able to be nominated as a running mate ,Shettima formerly served as governor of Borno State.

Soon after Tinubu’s plane touched down at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport in Katsina State, the APC presidential candidate was escorted to Daura by Governor Aminu Masari.
