She confidently asserted that her success extends far beyond the popular platform.

TikTok Ban Won’t Affect Me – Cardi B

TikTok officially ceased operations in the US on January 19, 2025.

However, it follows its Chinese owners’ failure to comply with a federal mandate requiring the sale of the app.

The mandate, signed into law by President Joe Biden in April 2024, aimed to address national security concerns surrounding the app’s ownership.

Amid the fallout, some social media users took to platforms like X (formerly Twitter) to mock artists who relied on TikTok to promote their music.

One user, with the handle @1lex, singled out Cardi B, suggesting that she, along with other so-called “TikTok rappers,” would need to find alternative employment.

The tweet read:

Now, all the female TikTok rappers gotta find real jobs. You first, @imcardib.

Cardi B delivered a sharp retort, highlighting her financial independence and diverse revenue streams.

She wrote: “Babe, I’m getting a $7 million offer to do my own vitamins. I can retire you from your flipping burger job by tomorrow. Thank me though; I’ve been helping you get your $8.99 Twitter check.”
