Tapswap: Why Nigerians Are ‘Steadily’ Tapping Their Phone Screens

The Nigerian internet space was set agog by this new telegram-based crypto mining project.

This mining platform came with a huge promise of financial returns like the lately successful Notcoin.

Trust Nigerians, once money is mentioned, the rush begins.

Nigerians And Mining

The project provides its contributors with the opportunity to earn Tap tokens by engaging with the Tapswap Telegram bot.

According to its official Twitter account; TapSwap is a Solana-based crypto exchange with low fees, high throughput, and exciting features like staking and margin trading.

This project has gained fast and widespread popularity in the Nigerian space with millions of Nigerians participating in the mining process.

In fact, the rate at which Nigerians were seen tapping their phones became alarming.

Look Before You Leap

Funny videos of Nigerians mining with 2 to 3 phones flooded the internet.

Well, we cannot say that we are surprised.

The situation of the country is not friendly, so do not blame Nigerians who are desperately seeking means of survival.

However, it is important to research and dig some more, before engaging in online activities of this nature.

This echoes the popular saying, “look before you leap”.

Now, let’s take a look at the Tapswap mining process.

About Tapswap Coin Mining

Tapswap coin mining is the series of activities users engage in to be eligible to earn tokens which they can now in turn exchange for Tapswap tokens on the Solana blockchain.

The mining process involves engaging with the Tapswap Telegram bot.

Here, users tap on their interface repeatedly while accumulating a score point that ranks them based on their number of taps.

It is an engaging and unique form of crypto mining that does not involve complicated or expensive hardware and technical knowledge.

However, just like many others, the problem appears to be the ‘cashing out’.

The Sad Man

As we speak, a yet-to-be-identified man is sad that his Tapswap refused to open.

This is after he had successfully acquired millions of coins on the app.

Truly, wahala no de finish, as it is often said.

The coin miner posted a video on TikTok expressing deep frustrations after he could not gain access to continue mining, not to even talk of withdrawing his earnings.

The man is apparently scared that the 200 million coins he has acquired on Tapswap might be frittered away due to his inability to gain access.

Many people from Nigeria have said they could not access the viral Telegram coin mining platform.

Before now, another social media user had described the mining on Tapswap as nothing but a waste of precious time.

He made a post on Facebook, giving reasons why nothing good would come out of the viral Telegram coin mining app.

 Tapswap Will Not Work

The user, identified as Ayegba Moses, said that Nigerians are just wasting time that would have been put to other productive use.

Ayegba said the fact that people all know about Tapswap and are doing it at the same time means it would not work.

Ayegba also noted that there would be no second Notcoin and that Tapswap may be different.

According to him, many people cannot just get rich at the same time and leave the trenches through Tapswap.

In his words: “Reasons why TAPSWAP is a waste of precious time: The fact that you all know about it, you are all doing it, and there is no second Notcoin. The devil will not sit back and watch everyone leave the trenches at the same time.”
