Seasoned actress and filmmaker Stephanie Okereke Linus has been named among the esteemed jury members for the upcoming Zuma International Film Festival (ZUFF).
Scheduled to take place in Abuja from December 1 to 5, the festival has generated excitement within the film community.
The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) recently briefed journalists on the event, highlighting that ZUFF has received a remarkable 3,120 submissions from various regions, including countries such as Iran, India, the United States, Spain, France, and Nigeria.
This year’s theme for the 14th edition of the festival is “Digital Renaissance: Embracing the Future,” promising a dynamic exploration of the evolving landscape of film in the digital age.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive of the NFC, Dr. Ali Nuhu, said, “The Zuma International Film Festival is more than an event.”
“It is a movement that promotes Nigeria’s cultural and creative economy. The festival creates jobs, empowers the youth and fosters collaborations across borders,”
“This year, we highlight the transformative power of digital technology in filmmaking with over 3,120 film submissions from countries, including Nigeria, Iran, India, the U.S.A., Spain, and France,” he added.
