Shakira has postponed her upcoming concert in Medellín, Colombia originally scheduled for February 24, 2025, citing stage safety concerns.
The event organisers, Páramo Presenta, announced that damage to the stage structure compromised safety, necessitating the postponement. A new date is expected in the second half of 2025.
This development follows a recent health setback for Shakira, who was hospitalized in Lima, Peru, due to an abdominal issue, leading to the cancellation of her concert there.
Despite these challenges, her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” has seen exceptional reception, with sold-out shows and performances at major festivals like Coachella.
Avianca Airlines has offered flight changes without penalties for ticket holders affected by the concert postponement.
The situation has also sparked political discussions in the host city, with former mayor Daniel Quintero attributing the delay to bureaucratic issues, while current mayor Federico Gutiérrez defends the city’s management and urges organizers to clarify the reasons for the postponement.
