With ₦1.29 trillion for recurrent expenditure and ₦2.07 trillion for capital projects, the budget aims to accelerate infrastructure development across Lagos, following its approval by the State House of Assembly earlier this week.
The signing will mark a major step towards implementing the largest budget ever by any Nigerian state.

Earlier this week, the Lagos State House of Assembly approved the budget after chairman of the joint committee on appropriation and finance, Sa’ad Olumoh, presented a detailed report.
Following deliberations, lawmakers, led by Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, gave their unanimous approval through a voice vote, slightly increasing the budget to ₦3.36 trillion.
By signing this financial plan, Governor Sanwo-Olu will set the stage for Lagos’ ambitious growth agenda.
