Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, recently shared a humorous take on dealing with online trolls and haters.
On Thursday, September 26, 2024, he took to his Instagram story to reveal his unique approach to handling negativity in the digital world.
Rudeboy began by suggesting that sometimes, the best way to deal with trolls is to simply be nice to them.
He explained, “Listen to them; they will tell you their frustrations and their problems, and why they are just angry with you for nothing.”
He added a playful twist: after hearing them out, he would ask them to send their account details. “Give them hope B,” he said, and when they send it… well, he cheekily advised, “Insult their papa!! W… and block them.”
His light-hearted perspective on trolls stands in stark contrast to fellow Nigerian artist Chike, who recently made headlines for a different approach.
Chike found himself facing a Twitter troll who accused him of riding on the coattails of the late singer Mohbad to gain fame.
Instead of firing back, Chike decided to send the troll a generous sum of ₦1 million, a move that surprisingly silenced the negativity.
