The tension that the lingering scarcity of petrol and the redesign of the Naira notes are causing has forced the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to shift its planned political rally in Lagos.
The Lagos State APC Spokesman, Hon. Seye Oladejo, announced the indefinite suspension of the campaign in a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday.

According to him, the state chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, said the decision was reached after considering the state of the nation due to the lingering scarcity of fuel and newly redesigned Naira note.
Ojelabi who empathised with Lagosians, insists that it will be insensitive for the party to continue with the various rallies with the situation of things.
Furthermore, he emphasised that members of APC were not immune to the development.
He claims the party has received several complaints.
The party chairman further calls for the review of the Naira redesign policy to give it a human face and tackle the suffering Nigerians are facing.

Ojelabi equally appealed that petroleum products should be made available.
He believes availability of petrol will reduce the negative economic impact on the people at a time of election.
He wants all Lagosians to remain law abiding and expresses hope that all issues would be resolved in due course.
