Sadly, this is the situation of some residents of the Okuama area of Delta State who fled the community for safety following the killing of soldiers on a peace mission in March 2024.

They have moved into the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp the Delta State government built for them at Okuama-Ewu in Urhobo Kingdom.

Buses were sent to convey the displaced residents to the camp after a meeting with the leaders of the community.

Furthermore, it was learned that the displaced residents had initially rejected moving into the camp, saying it was built outside their land.
