Ogun Free Trade Zone Has Generated Over $300m - ChairmanThe Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone Limited, Igbesa, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, has reportedly generated over $300m in investments.

Chairman Board of Directors of the Zone, Gboyega Isiaka, while speaking with newsmen after he led other directors on the tour of some companies operating in the zone on Saturday, said over 6,000 jobs have been created since 2007.

Isiaka also revealed that the excise duty payment made to Customs had increased by 300 percent.

He said, “No fewer than 80 companies had obtained operational licences since the establishment of Ogun Guangdong FTZ in 2007. The present worth of investment in the Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone Limited, Igbesa, is more than $300m.

“The zone is probably the only one in operation in the country. Forty-four companies have commenced full operations; 17 are under construction.”
