Darwin Nunez has fuelled the transfer rumours raging around him at Liverpool by removing Reds-related images from his personal Instagram account.
The Uruguay international forward moved to Anfield for £85 million ($107m) in the summer of 2022.
However, he has hit 33 goals through 94 appearances, but has also missed a number of big chances to see questions asked of his long-term value to the cause on Merseyside.
Also, there has been talk of Nunez potentially moving on in the next window, with La Liga giants Barcelona being credited with interest.
They are said to be in the market for a successor for prolific Polish frontman Robert Lewandowski, who could cut short his time in Catalunya amid links to teams in MLS and the Saudi Pro League.
Nunez has done little to quash the exit talk at Anfield with his activity on social media. While his profile picture on Instagram still features a red Liverpool shirt, the only images on his account are of him turning out for Benfica and Uruguay.

However, the South American forward still has four years left to run on his contract, through to 2028, but is said to have expressed interest in one day turning out for Barcelona.
Also, it remains to be seen whether such an opportunity ever presents itself and what the immediate future holds for him in England.
