The social media space has been buzzing with reactions after Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, announced his separation from his wife, Elsie after 12 years.

Recall that the father of two via his Instagram page on Thursday while announcing the crash of his 12 year old marriage urged the public to respect their privacy as they venture into their separate new lives apart.
This comes barely three months after Basketmouth celebrated his wife’s 44th birthday on September 14, 2022, but failed to celebrate their wedding anniversary on November 6, 2022.
The comedian’s post sparked reactions online while some netizens expressed disbelief over the news others claimed celebrity marriage crashes have been on the increase this year.
