Nigerian Army ambush, killed 9 Boko Haram terrorist in Borno.

The Nigerian Army said that fighting troops of Sector 1 Operation Lafiya Dole, in an ambush Operation, killed nine Boko Haram terrorists while two soldiers sustained injuries.

Troops ambushed the terrorists along Mainok-Jakana area in Kaga local government area of Borno state and engaged them in a firefight.

A statement confirming the operation, signed by Col Sagir Musa, Acting Director, Army Public Relations said, ‘Troops of Sector 1, Operation Lagiya Dole have successfully staged an ambush at identified Boko Haram terrorists crossing point at Mainok-Jakana axis in kaga local government area of Borno State at about 6.30pm on the 13th of May 2020.

“So far, 9 Boko Haram Terrorists lost their lives, two gun trucks mounted with anti aircraft guns have been captured and exploitation is ongoing by the troops.

“Two soldiers are slightly wounded.

“Situation in the area has been normalized.”
