As trading on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) crashed by 0.01% on Friday, investors lost investment worth ₦4.09 billion in shares.

Market capitalization on the NGX fell from ₦32.24 trillion to ₦32.23 trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) was down from 59,211.26 posted on Thursday, to close at 59, 206.63.

A total number of 627.87 million shares worth ₦9.15 billion in 6,953 deals were traded on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).

LivingTrust shares at 113 million valued at ₦303.98 million, was the most traded at the NGX on Friday, followed by UBA shares at 62.68 million worth ₦714.37 million.

GTCO shares came next at 49.51 million, valued at ₦1.54 billion.

While Transcorp, and Zenith bank shares came in respectively at 38.01 million and 36.44 million, valued at ₦119.60 million and ₦1.15 billion.

Gainers Table

Fidson led the gainers’ list after its share value rose by ₦1.17 kobo to end trading at ₦12.87 kobo from ₦11.70 kobo per share.

Transcorp Hotels gained ₦1.60 kobo to move from ₦16 to ₦17.60 kobo per share.at the close of the day’s trading.

RT Briscoe gained 10% to close at ₦0.44 kobo, above its opening price of ₦0.40 kobo per share.

Nascon’s share price was up by ₦1.70 kobo, moving from ₦17 to ₦18.70 kobo per share.

Cornerstone recorded a ₦0.11 kobo rise in share price, appreciating from ₦1.11 kobo to ₦1.22 kobo per share.

Losers Table

Unity Bank topped the losers’ table after shedding ₦0.12 kobo to drop from ₦1.22 kobo to ₦1.10 kobo per share.

Wapic’s share price dropped by 9.57% to end trading at ₦0.85 kobo from ₦0.94 kobo per share. McNichols lost 9.46% to end trading with ₦0.67 kobo from ₦0.74 kobo per share

NEM’s share dropped from ₦6.93 kobo to ₦6.30 kobo per share after losing ₦0.63 kobo during trading. Ecobank lost ₦1.40 kobo to drop from ₦15.40 kobo to ₦14 per share.
