The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered a massive stockpile of falsified and unregistered pharmaceutical products in Idumota, Lagos.
This was made known in a statement shared on the agency’s X account on Monday.
According to the agency, the seized items, which include Cocodamol and counterfeit GSK Ampiclox, were swiftly evacuated in an ongoing crackdown on the illegal drug trade.

The statement said, “#IdumotaUpdate: This morning, we uncovered large consignments of Cocodamol and falsified GSK Ampiclox, which have been evacuated.
“Also found were Benxhexol-5 tablets, packaged in cellophane sachets likely for further processing into finished products and possibly labelled with falsified NAFDAC Registration Numbers.”
