Meghan Markle Makes Donations To Nigeria After Revealing Her Ancestry

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Archewell Foundation has made donations to Save the Children and UNICEF Nigeria to help provide relief following devastating floods wreaking havoc in Nigeria.

The announcement was made after the Duchess of Sussex revealed on her podcast Archetypes on Tuesday that she is 43% Nigerian.

The spokesperson said the unspecified donations to the charities would ‘help provide relief following devastating floods wreaking havoc in Nigeria.’

Save the Children Nigeria also confirmed the donation in a tweet, saying: ‘More than 1.5 million children are at risk after devastating flooding in Nigeria.

The floods in the country caused by heavy rain and a water release from a dam in neighboring Cameroon, have so far killed more than 600 people, displaced around 1.4 million, and damaged or destroyed 440,000 hectares of farmland across Nigeria.
