Megan Thee Stallion received the Artiste of the Year award from Billboard’s Editorial Director, Hannah Karp, at the R&B Hip-Hop Power Players 2024 event.
Karp praised Megan for topping the Hot 100 with her hit single “HISS” and making a notable debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 as an independent artiste.
She highlighted Megan’s achievements, including topping Billboard’s Top R&B Hip-Hop Albums chart for the second time and being recognised as a philanthropist, activist, entrepreneur, and fitness coach.
In her acceptance speech, Megan Thee Stallion expressed gratitude to God and her late family members, saying, “First of all, I want to thank God, yes, period. And then I want to thank my angels, my mama, my daddy, my granny, because I know they’re watching over me and nothing would be possible without them.”
