Mbappe has not even joined Real Madrid yet but he is already making demands for the Spanish giants to sign other players.

That is according to Todofichajes, who reported that Mbappe has told Real Madrid that he wants them to bring PSG teammate Achraf Hakimi with him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Mbappe is very close to Hakimi and rates the full-back highly, believing he is the long-term answer to Real Madrid’s right-back problem.

Dani Carvajal is 30 this year, Lucas Vazquez is getting older, while Alvaro Odriozola is not considered good enough. Mbappe believes Hakimi will be a big upgrade on these players.

Hakimi also knows the environment, having spent four years at Madrid before moving to Inter Milan in 2020.

As for Mbappe, talk over him joining Real Madrid this summer or next is growing.

See what happened

Mbappe had seemed destined to join Real Madrid last summer but completed a dramatic turnaround by penning a three-year extension with PSG at the end of May 2022.

Throughout 2021-22, it had been unanimously accepted that he would sign for Madrid on a Bosman transfer when his previous PSG contract expired.

Having rejected a €200 million bid from Real Madrid for Mbappe last summer, the Frenchman was believed to have already agreed a free transfer move to the club he supported as a child.

This was reinforced by the fact that he rejected numerous offers of a PSG extension throughout the campaign.

But, in a shock twist, he decided to sign a new deal at PSG.

It was thought that the new deal at PSG ran until 2025 but there are reports that it actually expires in 2024.

Only Kylian himself – and not PSG – would have the option of extending the deal by a further year.

This certainly gives Madrid more chances of finally signing Mbappe this summer.
