Mariah Carey, the undisputed “Queen of Christmas,” is gearing up for her annual Christmas Time tour, unveiling an exclusive Apple Music playlist featuring a mix of her beloved holiday classics and iconic non-holiday hits.
The 20-song playlist begins with the “Magical Christmas Mix” of “Sugar Plum Fairy,” followed by festive favourites like “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing/Gloria (In Excelsis Deo),” “Joy to the World,” “Silent Night,” “O Holy Night,” “Christmas Time Is in the Air Again,” and “Oh Santa!” featuring Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson.
Fans can also enjoy timeless tracks such as “Emotions,” “Hero,” “Fantasy,” “Always Be My Baby,” and “We Belong Together.” Of course, the set list concludes with Carey’s holiday anthem, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
In an essay accompanying the playlist, Carey described the tour’s atmosphere as “festive, celebratory, joyous, happy, jolly, jovial,” while also promising more reflective moments to capture the range of emotions during the holiday season.
Carey’s 30th-anniversary tour celebrating her 1994 hit album Merry Christmas kicks off on November 6 in Highland, California, with stops in major cities including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Boston.
The tour will conclude on December 17 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Arena.
