Mariah Carey, known as the Queen of Christmas, announced on Friday, August 2, 2024, that her annual Christmas Time tour will return in 2024, with special celebrations planned.
In an Instagram post, the five-time Grammy winner shared her excitement, captioning, “It’s not time yet, but I have exciting news‼️” The post featured Carey in a sparkling red gown, standing by a festive fireplace with four decorated Christmas trees and piles of presents.
According to a press release, this year’s tour will be Carey’s “grandest spectacle to date,” celebrating the 30th anniversary of her 1994 hit album Merry Christmas, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
The show will include her classic holiday songs and other chart-toppers, with the release hinting that the Christmas Time tour is just the “first of many surprises” Carey has planned to commemorate her iconic holiday album.
The 20-date tour will commence on November 6 in Highland, California, with performances scheduled in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Boston, and more, concluding on December 17 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in New York City.
