Manchester City have reportedly lined up their ideal successor for when Kevin De Bruyne leaves the club.
De Bruyne has been heavily linked with a switch to the Saudi Pro League this summer with his Manchester City contract set to end in the summer of 2025.
While the eight-time Premier League champions are not willing to let the Belgian maestro leave the club, they are prepared for life after his departure.
As per Christian Falk, Manchester City view Bayern Munich wonderkid Jamal Musiala as De Bruyne’s successor when the playmaker leaves the Etihad.
The 21-year-old has been sensational since his debut with Der Rekordmeister in 2020 and is considered to be a perfect replacement for a De Bruyne-sized gap in Pep Guardiola’s side.
The German star had been in contract talks with Bayern Munich over the last season, however, the talks have stalled over the summer.
Manchester City have the finances to make a deal happen.

The Premier League champions’ first choice is to keep De Bruyne at the club but they are not prepared to give him a lengthy contract extension, and are not going to be an obstacle if the Belgian wants to leave the club.
