Nigerian singer Lojay has addressed rumours surrounding his relationship with Sade, the cousin of superstar Davido.
In a recent interview, Lojay decided to set the record straight.
He revealed that he and Sade share a close friendship rather than a romantic connection.
“She’s my bestie,” Lojay stated, clarifying that their bond is purely platonic.
According to Lojay, Sade is indeed his “bestie.”
“She’s my bestie [laughs]. Honestly, she’s one of the closest people to me. We are genuinely good friends. I even sent her balloons and flowers for her birthday,” he said.
He explains that his gesture was purely platonic and meant as a thoughtful act of friendship.
Meanwhile, another cousin of Davido, Adenike Adeleke, known as Nikos Living, recently stirred speculation around her relationship with fellow Nigerian singer Young John after the two were frequently seen together.
Although fans have questioned if there might be more between them, both Adeleke and Young John have remained silent on the nature of their relationship.
Lekan Osifeso Jnr popularly known as Lojay, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer.
He reached number 8 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart with his track “Monalisa,” featuring Chris Brown and Sarz.
