The Lagos state government has announced that it will investigate the unprofessional behavior of nurses at a hospital in the state where reality TV star Patrick Fakoya, aka Rico Swavey, was rushed shortly after being involved in a car accident that claimed his life.
A 30-second viral video showing nurses at a hospital in Lagos State slacking off while Rico was in critical condition sparked outrage on social media. Rico Swavey is seen sitting on a chair in the video.

While one of the nurses called for assistance to place him on a stretcher, the others remained relaxed, even as one of them chuckled while filming.

One of the nurses was heard cautioning her colleague against the act.
“You people should stop making the video; somebody is dying, you people are making video.”
In response to the public outcry, Gbenga Omotoso, the Lagos state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, said the state government had launched an investigation.
He said: ”That hospital is not a government hospital. We have started an investigation into the unprofessional conduct of those who appeared in that video. “
