It was a terrifying moment as two-storey building collapsed at Amusu street in the Orile Iganmu area of Lagos state.
This was seen in a video shared by a user on X.
Reacting to this on X, the Lagos state Commissioner for Information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso said no casualty was recorded.
In addition, he said the building had been marked for demolition.
“A distressed storey building already marked for demolition has collapsed in Orile-Iganmu.
“No casualty was recorded as the building had been evacuated two weeks before the incident. In fact, it had been marked for demolition.

“The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency(LASEMA), Fire Service , Building Control Agency (LASBCA) and the Police are at the scene to ensure there are no secondary incidents.”
